vectrLab featured in Unity newsletter
vectrLab has been mentioned in Unity3D March newsletter regarding our Touchscreen Timeline project.

Thank you very much Unity Technologies.
Touchscreen Timeline
Currently in use at the showroom of the Portuguese delegation for the European Comission and the European Parliament in Lisboa, Portugal,
Developed with Unity3D, this application aims to deliver a similar experience to that of current handheld devices’ touch abilities, scaled-up to a three-monitor touchscreen display.
We have developed a whole abstraction layer solely for the human-machine touchscreen interface, allowing smooth and intuitive navigation and browsing.
This project was a joint venture with our partners at Peopleware that handled all the client liaison, integration and hardware part of the project.
Deus Ex Machina 2: Under Development
Deus Ex Machina, originally published by Automata UK in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum, was the very first videogame to be accompanied by a full game-synchronised narration and soundtrack on audio cassette. As such, it was considered to be the first multimedia/art game for a home computer.
Published by the Portuguese company Quirkafleeg, Deus Ex Machina 2 tells the story of the life of a human being, based on “The Seven Ages of Man” from William Shakespeare’s play “As You Like It”.
This videogame is being produced with the original designer, Mel Croucher, and features several voice actors including Sir Christopher Lee, Chyna Whyne, Ian Dury, among others.
Deus Ex Machina 2 is scheduled to launch in 2011.

Fly away…
We have just uploaded a web port of the Fairey III simulator, currently in display at the ‘Viva a República’ exhibit. You can try it out from our Live Demos section or here.
Have fun!
Facebook: Check!
We have just finished migrating our own Facebook code layer to meet the new Facebook API requirements. Took us a while to clearly understand what’s new, what has been changed and what to leave behind, but we have finally done it.
This means that in the near future you will start seeing Facebook apps made by your favourite developers
Stay tuned for more updates on this.
CNCCR

We have been working with Comissão Nacional para as Comemorações do Centenário da República in order to develop educational games set upon some of the key moments of the portuguese republican revolution in 1910. These applications are currently in display in all of the major exhibitions held to commemorate 100 years of the portuguese republic. › Continue reading
Aryia: Winds of Storm

This has been both an effort as well as a dream to develop a 100% inclusive mobile RPG, allowing for the same gameplay experience for everyone, regardless of any accessibility need from the user.
A pre-alpha release was tested with many persons, many of them blind, and everyone showed lots of enthusiasm for the game (some of them wanted to keep playing on and on).
Unfortunately the publisher pulled the plug on this project, meaning that we were unable to proceed with the development due to lack of funding. This project is now asleep (but not dead).
Features:
- immersive gameplay;
- 100% accessibility support for text to speech readers;
- intuitive and easy to use UI;
- non-linear procedural storytelling.
